Is God Real?

“Does God exist?” This is quite possibly the most important question ever asked. If God is real, then we have a Friend who can absolutely do anything. In the same way, if God is all knowing, we have a Father who has every answer. In addition, we have a higher power that loves us and is always with us; we are never alone.

If God is a fairy tale, then life after death is fantasy. When God is an illusion, it means that we are on our own. There is no hell to fear and no eternal life to lose. In this reality, society lives by its own moral compass. Right and wrong are simply an opinion.

Evidence of God Through Love

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8.

God accepts love, God gives love, but most importantly, God is love. There are scientific journals that tell us that love can be explained by a chemical combination released in the brain. Most brain specialists worth their salt will admit that love is an extremely complex process that science cannot yet rationalize. Chemicals and electrical current cannot explain a man watching over his bride of 50 years who cannot remember his name.

Evidence of God in the Universe

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2.

According to NASA, the Hubble telescope has made over a million observations. These include pictures of galaxies billions of miles away. The Hubble has shown us that in this vast universe we are less than a grain of sand. NASA estimates that there are 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. They also estimate that 90% of the universe is yet to be seen.

Our little world has safely existed in this universe for thousands of years. As we hurtle through space at 66,616 MPH our atmosphere stays intact, and our seasons come and go. We have a perpetual self-sustaining water system, and our plants breathe in carbon and exhale oxygen. The planet revolves at just the right speed, and we are the exact perfect distance from the sun. The odds of any of these things happening by chance is astronomical. The odds of all of these happening at the same time is nothing less than a miracle.

Evidence of God in the human Body

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

The human body is a wonder of genetic engineering. Our bodies naturally develop immune responses to fight off disease. Broken bones fuse back together, torn skin heals automatically. In addition, we jump, run, climb, swim, build, create and wonder of wonders recreate ourselves through procreation.

The human brain is still a mystery to science. Scientists believe that, unlike the most sophisticated computers, your brain storage capacity is virtually unlimited. An article from Northwest Medicine makes this statement. “Research suggests the human brain consists of about 86 billion neurons. Each neuron forms connections to other neurons, which could add up to 1 quadrillion (1,000 trillion) connections.”

In Conclusion

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20

The evidence of God in the natural world is overwhelming. You also find the truth in the testimony of a changed heart. The free will to believe in God and follow His guidance was divinely ordained from the foundation of the world. Therefore, the choice is yours to ignore or experience the God who loves you and longs for your companionship.
